Our leadership team brings decades of proven expertise in renewable energy and advanced technology integration. The journey began with EfstonScience — The Science & Astronomy SuperStore, founded in 1970 as a Canadian hub for science, technology, and renewable innovation. EfstonScience introduced consumers, educators, and institutions alike to emerging technologies, from solar panels to scientific instruments, and became widely recognized as the Canadian distributor for Edmund Scientific products. This pioneering spirit continued with EfstonSolar, which designed and installed nearly 100 rooftop PV systems across Ontario and developed Canada’s first hybrid solar/wind streetlight.
During this period, we also researched and developed Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWTs). The motivation was clear: solar alone, particularly in northern climates, could not provide sufficient autonomy for year-round power. Wind seemed a natural complement, and we invested in exploring how VAWT technology could support hybrid systems. Ultimately, the economics and efficiency of VAWTs did not make them viable at scale, and the project was discontinued. This decision reflects our disciplined approach — pursuing bold innovation, but moving forward only with solutions that can truly deliver long-term value and scalability.
That pragmatism shaped the birth of MOBISMART. We always knew solar alone was not enough, and the breakthrough came when compact fuel cells became commercially viable. For the first time, we could integrate solar, fuel cells, and advanced batteries into a unified, purpose-engineered mobile platform — what we call the Trifecta of Autonomous Power.

MANUFACTURING
We manufacture multiple-unit quantities of our standard offerings and configure solutions to ensure a perfect fit for the needs of our customers. Our manufacturing facility is a 300,000 ft2 innovative manufacturing facility using state-of-the-art equipment and sophisticated manufacturing strategies for our isolated multiple-unit production and assembly process. With over 30 years of experience, expertise and the capacity to produce multiple quantities of purpose-built MOBISUN units, this impressive facility lends confidence and credibility that MOBISMART can deliver quality-made products in large quantities.
SYSTEM ENGINEERING
We have extensive experience in the design, engineering and development of easy and fast-to-deploy off-grid power and storage systems that utilize leading-edge renewable energy technologies for reliable remote power. Full CAD capabilities, wide-ranging drawing library and design tools allow us the convenience of designing products and systems for any location on earth.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
We have developed iterations and evolved our solutions by conducting studies pertaining to the needs of industries that rely on diesel for their remote power applications. We also work with universities and academia to pioneer the industry and government with the development of cutting-edge power electronics products for renewable energy systems as well as IoT advances in data technology and monitoring, power balancing, micro-grid power management and EV charging.
